Our take

Sweater Weather opens with a crisp, almost tart green apple that snaps like the first bite of a fruit still cool from the tree, immediately softened by a faint, watery orchid and the sheer, clean buzz of aldehydes that mimic morning dew on leaves. The middle is where the green accord becomes more mineral and solar, a strange and interesting choice: it doesn’t smell like a cozy knit, but rather like standing in a field at the edge of autumn, the sun low and bright, your fingers stiff from cold air that smells of crushed stems and wet stone. It settles into a very light, fresh, vegetal skin scent, more atmosphere than presence, and that’s where the numbers bite: longevity is barely two hours, sillage a soft whisper you have to lean into. This is a ghost of a fragrance, a memory of a season rather than the season itself. Who should wear it? Someone who wants a fleeting, unpretentious green floral for early fall days, a lunchtime spritz that won’t offend coworkers. Skip it if you need depth, warmth, or any kind of hug in a bottle, it’s too airy for that. Best worn on a crisp afternoon, between the last summer and the first real frost, when you want to smell like cold grass and a faint, metallic sweetness, but not for long.
