The first spray delivers a full, red rose that feels plush and slightly syrupy. It sits close to the skin with a natural petal texture rather than a candied sweetness. This rose does not float alone for long before the earthier elements begin to rise.
Patchouli enters with a damp, root-like weight that grounds the flower immediately. Sandalwood smooths the transition, adding a creamy, pale wood facet that keeps the heart from feeling too dark. The floralcy remains present, but it now wears a brown coat.
Cedar brings a dry, pencil-shaving sharpness that cuts through the richer resins. Amber adds a golden, balsamic warmth that feels heavy in the air, while musk wraps the entire composition in a soft, powdery haze. The blend feels dense and settled, like a heavy wool coat in a room lit by a low fire.
The synthetic edge in the amber can feel a bit sharp and plastic when the air is warm. It lacks the airy lift that makes a rose feel effortless. If you prefer your florals to stay light and transparent, the resinous weight here will feel too muddy.
