Picture almond milk poured over powdery iris and you're close to how Rolling in Love opens, soft and a little nutty from the very first minute. Iris keeps the powder cool, not sugary, at the very start, a brief held breath before the almond and vanilla take over completely. Freesia, heliotrope and raspberry brighten the heart without disturbing the powder, hedione adding a clean, faintly green lift under all that sweetness. Vanilla, tuberose, tonka bean and caramel take over in the base, thick and dessert-like, musk and lactones giving it a creamy, milky finish.
Staying power is moderate, easy to top up, comfortable rather than commanding. Sillage is a modest bubble, sweet and close, the kind only someone standing near enough to embrace would catch. Cool, crisp air is when the vanilla and tonka feel warm, not cloying, making it better suited to coat weather than bare shoulders.
Pascal Gaurin built something genuinely cozy here, the kind of almond-vanilla blend that smells like a favorite sweater more than a bottle of perfume. It works best on quiet days when comfort matters more than making a statement, warm and familiar without trying too hard.
