Our take

Muzarkash opens with a bright citrus note that feels sharp and immediate. The fruit is clean rather than sweet, giving the entrance a crisp edge before the heart notes arrive. Amber soon takes over, warm and resinous, lending a golden weight to the middle of the composition. Woodsy notes sit alongside the amber, adding a dry, slightly rough texture that keeps the warmth from becoming soft. Floral notes appear in the background, faint and powdery, never pushing forward enough to read as a bouquet. The base rests on musk that carries an animalic trace, earthy and slightly raw, which grounds the entire structure. Powdery and fresh facets drift through the later stages, lightening the heavier amber and wood just enough to prevent total density. The scent feels dry overall, more resin and skin than syrup, with a faint floral haze that never fully settles.

This fragrance suits evening wear, where its amber and musk can sit against low light and a slower pace. The animalic edge in the musk may feel too blunt for those who prefer clean, soapy finishes, and the floral element is so muted it barely registers as a distinct layer. The citrus fades early, leaving the amber and wood to carry most of the experience, which can make the opening feel disconnected from what follows.
