Pink Jewel
Fragrance notes
Pink Jewel opens with a sharp saffron thread that runs through the entire composition. It sits beside bitter almond, which adds a dry, almost medicinal edge rather than a gourmand softness. The almond here is not sweet. It provides a crisp counterpoint to the heavy spice, keeping the opening from feeling overly warm. Egyptian jasmine enters with a thick, indolic presence that pushes the scent toward a floral density. This jasmine is dark and heavy, lacking the airy quality found in fresher white florals. Cedar provides a dry wood backbone that anchors the floral heart, giving the middle phase a structured, slightly austere feel.
The base brings ambergris and musk together to create a distinct animalic warmth. This is where the metallic accord becomes most noticeable, lending a cool, mineral touch to the heavy amber. The leather accord sits quietly beneath the surface, adding a rugged texture to the resinous woods. It is a dry fragrance overall, with very little sweetness to balance the spice and the animalic notes. The saffron remains prominent even as the deeper woods settle, ensuring the scent stays in a warm spicy territory. The musk adds a skin-like closeness to the finish, blending the metallic and woody elements into a cohesive, slightly aggressive whole that stays true to its oriental woody classification without softening its sharper edges.
