Le Réveil
Fragrance notes
Character
Le Réveil suits the wearer who enjoys a little strangeness in their sweetness, someone happy to let a perfume raise an eyebrow before settling into comfort. It opens with wild strawberry, white chocolate, and rum, a bright, plush blend with a faint green lift from stems greens and lavender. The effect feels like a wool coat draped over a bowl of sugared fruit, warm and slightly untamed.
Its heart takes a more curious turn. Goat hair tincture and truffle bring an animalic, earthy depth, while heliotrope and maltol soften the texture with powdery sweetness. Cloves add a dry, spiced edge. In the base, goat's milk, vanilla caviar, Peru balsam, mitti attar, white oud, and Tonalide® create a creamy, musky finish with woody warmth. The unusual materials remain legible, so Le Réveil has a distinctive character for adventurous unisex wearers.
Performance is a major part of its appeal. It is very long-lasting, with the base holding firm through its changes, while the sillage forms a modest bubble around the wearer. That balance makes it comfortable in close company and easy to place at a desk, a gallery visit, or dinner.
Autumn and winter bring out its richest side, though its fruity opening can work in spring as well. Those seeking a crisp, polished scent may find the animalic heart challenging.
