Rehab opens clean, lavender and bergamot doing the classic fougère handshake, sharp and green before the woods start to show through. Initio built its reputation on big, simple ideas executed with maximum polish, and Rehab keeps things plain on purpose: a small handful of notes, nothing hiding underneath, every one of them doing real work instead of sitting there for decoration.
Cedar, vetiver and patchouli form the backbone, dry and a little dusty, and musk and guaiac wood in the base keep it there: the wear holds firm well after the lavender has faded, settling into a long, even burn. The sillage stays low-key and easy, a hush of cedar and musk that lingers mostly around the collar and wrists, never pushing further out than that.
This is a fougère built for repeat wear, not for special occasions, the kind of bottle you reach for on an ordinary day because it asks nothing of you. This fougère holds up in cool mornings, overcast days and everything between, easing off only once real summer heat arrives.
