Our take

Natura Essencial Desejos starts with a noticeable challenge that may bother some wearers. Its opening is aggressively bright and sharp, with fizzy Champagne Rosé and tart lime, grapefruit, and lemon hitting all at once. This piercing citrus intro feels slightly synthetic and overly abrasive, lacking the soft transition one expects from a modern floral perfume. The sheer volume of top notes—including pear, peach, ginger, and pepper—creates a cluttered, noisy effect on the skin rather than a harmonious blend. You really have to wait out this rough, sparkling attack before the fragrance settles down. Once it does, it behaves with a sensible, restrained presence. It stays close to the skin and maintains a steady, unobtrusive presence rather than pushing outward. This makes it a competent choice for an office environment or a bright, sunlit morning where you want a clean, floral aura without leaving a heavy trail.

The heart reveals a dense, slightly soapy mix of rose, lily-of-the-valley, and jasmine, supported by the earthy, green vetiver-like scent of priprioca. It shifts into a dry, woody finish of cedar, sandalwood, and benzoin, where the musk and amber provide a smooth, if somewhat generic, warmth. The synthetic edge present in the opening unfortunately lingers into the drydown, preventing the base from feeling truly natural or luxurious. It remains a transparent, easygoing scent that suits daily wear perfectly, but the discordant start remains its most distracting feature. That harsh, almost chemical brightness in the first ten minutes is a significant drawback for those who prefer a smoother, more polished entry into their fragrance.
