Itaque is a fragrance for people who want a resinous wood that feels grounded and serious. The oud and frankincense here create a dense, churchy core that dominates the wear. Gurjan balsam adds a smooth, golden sweetness that keeps the resins from turning sharp. This is not a bright or airy composition. It is heavy, dark, and firmly anchored in its amber and balsamic accords. The tamarind and marigold from the opening are quickly overtaken by the sheer weight of the base, making the fresh spicy start feel like a brief formality rather than the true character of the scent.
The setting for Itaque is a cold morning where the air is crisp and the light is pale. It fits a wool coat and the quiet focus of a workspace. The white musk and oakmoss try to lift the blend, but the patchouli and cypriol pull it back down into the earth.
