Binturong
Fragrance notes
Character
Binturong opens with iris and incense. The iris offers a soft, powdery entrance that feels dry rather than floral. Incense adds a thin ribbon of smoke that sits lightly at first, giving the start of the composition a calm, slightly austere character before the heavier elements arrive.
Laotian oud leads the heart, dark and resinous, supported by amber and labdanum that add a golden weight. White sandalwood and cedar provide a clean wood backbone that keeps the resins from becoming too dense. The scent feels substantial on skin and announces itself clearly in the air without overwhelming the space around you.
The base is where Binturong spends most of its time. Musk, civet, castoreum, and ambergris create a deep animalic layer that feels warm and lived in. Caramel and coffee add a bitter sweetness, while patchouli grounds the blend with earth. This stage clings to skin for an extended period and continues to project steadily through an evening out, the resinous woods and musks lingering close to the fabric of a sleeve
