Ares Elixir
Fragrance notes
Ares Elixir opens with black pepper, pineapple, and tobacco. The pepper is sharp and immediate. The pineapple adds a bright, acidic fruit tone that cuts through the initial spice. Tobacco brings a dry, leafy roughness to the top layer. This combination feels dense and warm from the first moment.
The heart introduces patchouli, coffee, and iris. Patchouli provides an earthy, damp depth. Coffee contributes a roasted, bitter edge that grounds the sweeter elements. Iris adds a soft, powdery texture that smooths the transition into the base. The accord becomes heavier here, leaning into the woody and balsamic profile.
The base consists of labdanum, dry wood, vanilla, amber, and resins. Labdanum and amber create a golden, sticky warmth. Vanilla sits underneath, adding sweetness without dominating. Resins give a thick, slightly medicinal finish. Dry wood keeps the foundation firm. The fragrance is very sweet and powdery, which may overwhelm those who prefer lean, crisp compositions.
