Raw Human

Character
Raw Human opens with a sticky-sweet burst of apricot and plum, almost jammy, before pink pepper snaps your attention back to the animalic intentions lurking beneath. The osmanthus heart is a coy masquerade, all leathery apricot skin and custard-like lactones, but it doesn't last long. Within an hour, the fruit collapses into a dusty pile of styrax and olibanum, resinous and smoky, while the leather note comes across as a cheap vinyl handbag left in a hot car. The drydown is where it settles into something more wearable, a soft ambered skin scent that clings close, but the initial clash between sweet fruit and raw animalic is jarring.
The overall picture is a half-eaten apricot dropped on a weathered saddle, sticky, bruised, and slightly synthetic. It feels like a niche idea filtered through a budget lens, promising feral intimacy but delivering a muddled sweetness that fumes for the first thirty minutes. The longevity is average, about four hours, and the sillage is a whisper after the first hour, which is merciful given how screechy the opening can be.
This one suits someone who wants a low-risk entry into animalic leathers but doesn't mind fruity compromise. Skip it if you prefer polished, linear scents or if your skin amps sweetness into cloying territory. Wear it on cold winter nights when the drydown can wrap around a scarf, but give yourself twenty minutes before leaving the house or you'll smell like you fell into a dried fruit basket at a dusty flea market.
