Apple and lemon hit first, crisp and a little sour, with cinnamon warming the edges almost right away. Bergamot sits underneath both, rounding off what could otherwise be a sharp, purely sour citrus blast. It comes across as a fresh, citrus-forward opening until watery notes and plum arrive and pull it toward something rounder and slightly darker in the same breath.
Orange blossom softens the plum's weight in the heart, and cardamon keeps a spiced thread running under the fruit the whole time. The base is where the fragrance earns its animalic edge: ambergris and musk sit close to patchouli and driftwood, giving what started as a clean citrus scent a warmer, skin-like undertone by the end.
It holds firm across a long stretch of wear, and the sillage is noticed within arm's reach rather than further out, present without pushing. Summer is clearly its season, with spring not far behind, and it works best in daylight given how bright the top notes stay even as the base darkens underneath. Driftwood in particular gives the base a weathered, slightly damp quality, and the apple keeps resurfacing at odd moments, a strange, welcome echo of the very first spray.
