Fragrance notes
Nakhla opens with a sharp bite of rhubarb and bergamot, brightened by the juicy snap of litchi. Nutmeg adds a quick spark of heat before the heart takes over. Turkish rose and peony unfold in a soft, powdery cloud, supported by the creamy sweetness of vanilla and a clean musk that keeps the florals from feeling too heavy.
The base is where the character deepens. Oud and incense bring a smoky, balsamic weight, while cashmeran and cedar add a warm, woody foundation. Haitian vetiver grounds the blend with an earthy touch. The accord is amber-heavy and resinous, moving from that initial fruitiness into a rich, spicy warmth that feels textured and dense on the skin.
Composed by Jemsheer for Rawda Perfumes and launched in 2024, this is a fragrance that leans heavily into its resinous smoke. The vanilla and peony try to soften the edges, but the incense and oud dominate the atmosphere. The limitation here is the synthetic edge that occasionally rises from the cashmeran, which can make the balsamic notes feel a bit plastic rather than naturally aged.
