Velvet Rose
Fragrance notes
Character
Gerini Velvet Rose opens with a bright, tart snap of rhubarb and bergamot, softened immediately by the tropical sweetness of litchi and a gentle pinch of nutmeg. The fruitiness does not stay loud for long. Turkish rose takes over quickly, supported by peony and the synthetic petalia molecule that gives the flower a clean, modern sheen. Vanilla and musk wrap the petals in a soft powder, so the heart feels plush rather than sharp. As it settles, cedar and cashmeran introduce a smooth, dry woodiness that keeps the sweetness from becoming too heavy. Haitian vetiver adds a faint earthy whisper, and incense brings a thin ribbon of smoke that makes the entire composition feel dimmer and more intimate. The overall impression is a rose that has been placed in a room lit only by candles, where the air is warm and the edges of the room are hard to see.
The powdery floral accord sits close to the skin in a way that feels personal rather than performative. Wear it when the evening calls for something soft but distinctive, or give it to the person who loves rose but wants it surrounded by wood and smoke instead of pure sugar.
