Almond and rose open the fragrance with a powdery, edible softness. The almond here is not bitter. It reads like marzipan that has just been dusted with sugar. Jasmine and cherry arrive in the heart, and the cherry is dark rather than bright. It sits heavily among the white petals. The overall impression is gourmand but not juvenile. There is a woody accord running underneath that keeps the sweetness from feeling entirely weightless. The musk and tonka bean in the base add a creamy, vanillic warmth that clings to the skin. It smells like a knit sweater that has absorbed the scent of a pastry shop. The floral elements are present but they take a back seat to the nutty, fruity gourmandcy.
The scent feels appropriate for a walk under bare trees when the air turns crisp and the light fades early. It pairs well with the feeling of holding a warm drink in cold hands. The composition is very sweet, perhaps excessively so for daily wear. The rose note is faint and gets lost almost immediately among the heavier gourmand accords. The jasmine tries to lift the blend, but the almond and cherry are too dominant. It lacks a contrasting fresh or green element to cut through the richness. The entire structure feels a bit one-dimensional because of that heavy, unrelieved sweetness.
