Our take

The sun sits high over a wooden bench where a cup of black tea cools beside a bundle of fresh hay. Ere lives in this quiet corner. Fern and mastic lend a resinous bite to the air, while angelica and juniper berries add a crisp, herbal lift. Bulgarian rose and boronia offer a soft floral touch that feels natural rather than perfumed. Cloves and warm spicy notes hum underneath, giving the scene a gentle heat that matches the bright sky.

Tobacco and patchouli anchor the atmosphere with a deep, earthy richness. Oakmoss and vetiver bring a damp soil character that grounds the lighter herbs, while immortelle and broom contribute a golden, hay-like sweetness. Balsam fir and cedar provide a dry woodiness that blends into the background. Cypriol adds a smoky, root-like depth that pulls the entire composition toward the ground.

The sweetness of the immortelle grows heavier as the tea steeps further, mingling with the musky underside of the moss and the bitter edge of the galbanum. It is a thick, green scent that feels like sitting inside a dense thicket where the air is still. The herbal accords wrap around the tobacco, making the smoke feel damp and cool rather than dry. Every breath reveals another layer of green.

The broom and hay notes continue to unfold against the dark patchouli, creating a texture that is both rough and sweet, a constant interplay between the dry stems and the rich earth below, the scent lingering in the fabric of a shirt as the light shifts across the wooden slats and the air
