Oud Cambodi
Fragrance notes
Oud Cambodi opens with Cambodian oud placed beside saffron and myrtle. The saffron brings a warm, slightly metallic spice that sits on top of the resinous wood, while the myrtle adds a fresh, green edge that keeps the first few minutes from feeling too heavy. The oud here is present immediately and does not wait for the background to settle.
As the fragrance moves forward, nagarmotha joins the oud in the heart. The combination feels earthy and dry, with the nagarmotha adding a root-like depth that supports the wood rather than competing with it. The oud remains the clear focus, but it changes character and becomes smoother and less sharp than it was at the start.
The base brings patchouli and sandalwood alongside the continuing oud. Patchouli reinforces the earthy accord and adds a dark, slightly damp quality that grounds the entire composition. Sandalwood softens the edges and gives the wood a creamier texture. The animalic accord sits quietly underneath, adding weight without overtaking the woody and warm spicy notes that define the drydown.
