Our take

Made for Men opens with a brisk slap of green apple and bergamot, the rosemary adding a herbal shimmer that feels almost carbonated. The heart turns aqueous, geranium floating like a watercolor wash over synthetic water notes, all clean and nondescript. Then the base arrives, a polite handshake of tonka, musk, and oakmoss, with cedar holding the line. It smells like a hotel pool in April, the chlorine barely rinsed off a freshly starched polo shirt.

This is an aromatic fougere stripped of any ambition, built for the man who wants to smell clean without smelling like much of anything. It wears close to the skin, barely two hours before the top notes evaporate and the soft, vanillic fluff in the base becomes a whisper. Longevity and sillage are its clear Achilles heel, a 2.45 and 2.32 rating that should make you pause. This is a morning spray after a quick shower, perfect for a springtime coffee run or a lazy Saturday at the market. It is undeniably synthetic, but in a cheerful, guilt free way, like a fruit punch that knows it’s not juice.

Who should wear it? The guy who doesn’t want to think about fragrance, who just wants a fresh, friendly presence that won’t outstay its welcome. Who should skip it? Anyone craving richness, depth, or a scent that announces your arrival before you do. It is a fleeting pleasure, a glass of sparkling water with a single mint leaf, gone before you’ve finished the sentence.
