The lemon and rosemary flicker through the top like green sparks, adding a brief, aromatic lift before the heart settles into a dense, slightly cozy patchouli and pumpkin blend. On the dry down, the vanilla turns powdery and the black currant fades to a murky sweetness, with the patchouli anchoring everything in a soft, balsamic haze. The overall impression is that of a vintage brooch tarnished just enough to be interesting: pretty, slightly heavy, and utterly nostalgic.
This is a mainstream Oriental Vanilla from 2007, and it wears its drugstore DNA proudly. The sillage is a polite whisper, barely two feet from your skin after an hour, and longevity clocks in at a modest three to four hours before you’re reaching for a spritz again. That low projection works in its favor for intimate settings, but don’t expect to fill a room. The sweetness is pushy but not cloying, thanks to the rosemary and patchouli cutting through the sugar, though the pumpkin note reads more like a synthetic confection than the real gourd.
