Our take

Cuba Prestige opens with a bright, almost aggressive citrus burst, lemon and grapefruit jostling with a sharp black currant that feels more synthetic than juicy. The bergamot adds a cologne-like sparkle that quickly gives way to lavender and cardamom in the heart, a combination that tries to be fresh and spicy but stays stubbornly linear. Jasmine and rosemary barely register, lost in the aromatic fog. The dry down is where it finally relaxes: amber and cedar soften the edges, while oakmoss and vetiver ground it in a familiar, soapy fougere territory. The whole affair lasts about three hours on skin, with sillage that stays close like a polite acquaintance rather than a statement.

This fragrance is a cheap suit jacket. It looks the part at first glance, structured and confident, but the fabric is thin and the stitching won’t hold up to scrutiny. It feels moderately synthetic, leaning heavily into mainstream amber-woody tropes without any of the warmth or depth that might make it memorable. Perfect for someone who needs a work-appropriate scent they can spray liberally without worrying about budget or offending anyone. Skip it if you want projection, longevity, or any hint of originality. Wear it to a cold commuter train in November, when the air demands something dry and the day is too short for a real perfume to matter.
