Tango opens with a bright spray of yuzu and orange that feels immediate and clean. Geranium adds a green edge to the citrus, while orange blossom softens the top with a light floral touch. The entrance is energetic and uplifting, leaning into the citrus and aromatic accords without becoming sharp or thin.
The heart develops into a rose-forward floral blend. Damask rose and tea rose sit beside raspberry, which gives the flowers a gentle sweetness. Jasmine rounds out the middle with a soft, slightly indolic floral presence. The transition keeps the fragrance airy, though the raspberry note pushes it toward a candied floral character.
Base notes of sandalwood, amber, and tonka bean provide a warm foundation. Tobacco and labdanum add resinous depth, while cinnamon brings a fresh spicy accent that ties back to the opening. The drydown is sweet and resinous, with the amber and tonka bean leading the way as the roses fade into the background.
The raspberry note dominates the heart more than expected, making the floral phase feel sugary rather than elegant. Combined with the heavy amber and tonka base, the perfume can read as cloying for those who prefer dry, understated compositions.
