Our take

La Vie de Boheme opens like a fistful of ripe berries crushed against a pear, all gloss and sugar with a faintly tropical twist of pitahaya. The Turkish rose is barely a whisper, a flirtatious shadow behind the fruit. Then it softens into peony and freesia, a clean, almost soapy floral that might have felt delicate if the sweetness didn’t keep pushing forward. The base settles into a raspberry musk with a dry vanilla husk, but by then the whole thing feels like a watercolor left in the rain, smudged and barely there.

This is a fragrance that dresses like a bohemian dream but fades before the party really starts. Longevity and sillage are frankly disappointing, two hours at best before it clings only to clothes. It’s a bright, mainstream fruity floral, completely synthetic in the way that makes it cheerful rather than cheap, but there is no real complexity or depth to hold onto.

It suits a teenager or a young woman who wants something sweet and effortless for a spring morning, a brunch date, or a sunny day at the park. Anyone who values performance, or who finds heavy fruit syrups cloying, should walk right past. Wear it when you want to feel pretty for a few hours and don’t mind reapplying.
