Someone walks in wearing a scent that does not try to announce itself at the door. Nutmeg settles into the background, letting the entrance feel textured rather than loud.
The center of the room carries a rose that is not delicate. It stands beside oud and styrax, both resinous and dark, turning the flower into something architectural. The rose holds its shape among the heavier materials, refusing to soften into a polite floral. Styrax lends a faint smoke that clings to the fabric of a sleeve rather than spreading across the space.
Patchouli and oakmoss ground the base, joined by benzoin and labdanum that smell like warmed resin. Musk and civet add a faint animalic edge that some will find compelling and others will find dated. The blend stays present on the skin for a long time, and it remains close enough that only someone near you catches the full depth of the resins and moss.
