Cruelle
Fragrance notes
Character
Lilac and blackberry open Cruelle with a juicy, purple burst that feels more garden than candy. The fruit is dark and slightly tart, never leaning into syrup.
Tobacco and oud sit at the center of the blend. The tobacco is dry and leafy, while the oud adds a hollow, woody depth that keeps the fruit from dominating the air.
Tonka bean and labdanum create a thick, amber-like warmth that clings to fabric and skin. The powder from the orris is noticeable, giving the whole composition a vintage, cosmetic edge.
The sweetness here is heavy and persistent. It can feel cloying in a small room, and the powdery facet may irritate those who prefer clean, transparent florals over dense, resinous mixes.
