Our take

Grapefruit and mandarin orange open Tommy Girl fast and citrusy, with black currant giving the top a faint tartness before the fruit settles. Grapefruit and honeysuckle keep trading places for attention, one leaning tart and the other leaning sweet, which is part of why the top never settles into one clear shape. Mint threads through the heart alongside lemon, keeping the whole thing feeling washed and green. The sillage stays a close-range presence throughout, and staying power is average, present but never assertive.

Rose, lily and violet keep the floral side soft rather than heady, and by the base, magnolia and jasmine hand off to cedar, sandalwood and a thin edge of leather. That leather is the one surprise in an otherwise sunny composition, adding some grain to an otherwise polished, powdery finish.

It's built for warm, sunlit stretches, worn to work or to run errands in the middle of a bright day. A formal evening is not really its scene. The trade-off is a top that feels a little busy at first, several fruits and florals all competing for attention before the drydown finally settles into something calmer.
