The jasmine duo quickly takes over, night-blooming and sambac together, lush and indolic, with sandalwood smoothing their edges into something almost creamy. Then the base turns unexpectedly savory: turmeric and coriander mix with ginger and lime, while vanilla and benzoin keep things from going too dry, and vetiver and patchouli anchor it all in damp earth. It smells like a temple garden after a monsoon, the incense still curling around wet white petals.
The overall character is warm, herbal, and floral, but it lives in a surprisingly modest register. This isn’t a towering, opulent statement; it’s a fragrance that stays close, almost conspiratorial, with longevity hovering just under three hours and sillage barely nudging past arm’s length. That’s the trade-off for such a natural-smelling composition, it feels alive and un-synthetic, but you’ll need to reapply if you want it to be noticed. For the price, that restraint can frustrate.
