It carries a classic rose character that dominates the early stage of the wear.
The base pulls the composition into darker territory. Incense and oud add a dry, resinous wood that cuts through the rose, while amber and musk provide a warm, rounded foundation. Castoreum and civet introduce an animalic, almost leathery depth that makes the fragrance feel heavy and vintage. The overall impression is a floral that quickly turns into a warm, resinous wood with a distinctly furry undertone.
This is a scent built for heavy sweaters and thick fabrics in cool, dim environments where the air is still. The animalic elements are prominent and unapologetic, which gives the blend a bold, old-school personality. The density of the rose paired with the civet creates a very specific, traditional profile. The one clear limitation is the heavy castoreum and civet combination, which produces a pungent fur-like quality that many wearers will find too aggressive and dated for regular use.
