Breathe

Breathe by Akro opens with a sharp, herbal jolt of lavender that’s quickly softened by bergamot’s citrus shimmer. The water notes that follow don’t mimic rain or sea salt; instead they feel like the cool air trapped inside a glass bottle left open overnight on a bathroom sill. A clean musk settles in underneath, powdery and close to the skin, turning the whole thing into a whisper rather than a statement. Olivier Cresp has made a fragrance that smells genuinely aquatic without the scratchy synthetic edge many blue scents lean on. It’s fresh, yes, but also slightly aromatic and almost meditative, like the moment just after a deep exhale.
