Infinite Paradoxe opens with a sharp bite of saffron and cinnamon that feels like stepping into a room lit by a single fireplace. The air is cool outside, the windows are fogged, and the spice sits heavy in the air. Nutmeg adds a rough edge to the lavender here, stopping it from ever feeling clean or bright.
Tobacco and leather do most of the work once the initial heat settles. The tobacco is dry and a bit dusty, pressed between the resinous weight of labdanum and the smooth cream of benzoin. Vanilla is present, but it stays in the background, more of a texture than a flavour. The amber accord gives the whole composition a golden, slightly powdery haze that clings to fabric and skin.
The blend leans so far into its resinous base that it can feel a bit muddy when the air is warm. It lacks the lift needed to keep the heavier notes distinct, so the patchouli and musk sometimes blur together into a single heavy mass. It is a dense choice that asks for patience, as the sweetness of the tonka can become overwhelming if the air around you is already thick.
