Our take

Yuzu and bergamot lead the opening with bright citrus that feels clean and immediate. Green bell pepper adds a sharp, leafy edge that pulls the fruit away from anything sweet or sunny. The start is vivid and a little angular, more garden than breakfast, and the pepper note gives it a savory tilt that keeps the citrus from behaving like a standard summer spray.

Marjoram and ginger warm the heart while petitgrain carries the bitter green thread forward. Carnation brings a slightly clove-like floral presence that sits between spice and petal. The transition feels steady rather than dramatic, moving from crisp to gently pungent without losing the herbal character that defines the early stage.

Siam benzoin introduces a soft resinous weight that rounds the edges. Bulgarian rose and boronia add floral depth that is rich but not sugary, letting the amber accord settle beneath the remaining herbs. The base keeps the green and spicy elements in view, so the perfume never turns fully warm or powdery.

The accord list is long and some of the notes compete rather than blend. Ginger, carnation, and green bell pepper can feel crowded together, and the resinous base sometimes sits apart from the bright top instead of pulling it through.
