Icarus Noir
Fragrance notes
Character
Icarus Noir is not an easy wear. The opening hits hard with galbanum and tomato leaf, a sharp green bite that can feel abrasive if you expect a smooth entrance. This is a fragrance that demands patience before it offers comfort.
It belongs in a dim courtyard after rain, when the air is cool and the pavement still holds the scent of crushed stems. The green opening gives way to tuberose and orris, softening the edges without losing that vegetal grip. Labdanum and tobacco anchor the base alongside leather and guaiac wood, creating a resinous, musky weight that feels deliberate.
Cristian Calabro composed a scent for the person who wants to be noticed for their restraint rather than their volume. It suits someone who enjoys the tension between powdery white florals and dark, aromatic smoke. If you prefer clean citrus or sweet gourmands, the bitter green start and heavy amber drydown will feel like a mismatch.
It is a leather jacket draped over a damp garden bench.
