Our take

It opens with a bright, almost citrus snap of Calabrian bergamot and neroli, but the bitterness of the rind lingers. That initial spark collapses quickly into a powdery, slightly sticky floral heart. Bulgarian rose and jasmine sambac try to push through a heavy geranium that feels more like a greenhouse fog than a bloom. The dry down is where things get interesting, Madagascar vanilla and oakmoss tangle with amber into a sweet, mossy skin scent that has the texture of old velvet rubbed raw. This is the fragrance of a pressed flower found in a forgotten coat pocket, still faintly sweet but crushed and browning at the edges.

It wears like a melancholic memory, not a sunny spring stroll. The sillage stays polite and short, barely 3 out of 5, so don’t expect to leave a room with it. Longevity is slightly better, four hours before it fades into a vanilla whisper. The balance between fresh spice and powdery floral is decent, but the jasmine often gets lost under the oakmoss, and the whole thing can feel more synthetic than natural, like a curated photograph edited past reality.

This is for someone who wants to smell quietly beautiful, not loud or seductive. A person in a cardigan on a cool autumn evening, reading alone. It suits fall and winter best, and spring on overcast days. Skip it if you need projection or crave a crisp white floral. Why pay for a ghost when you could wear a living rose?
