FLEURS ENCENSÉES
Fragrance notes
Character
Thailand oud opens the composition with a resinous weight that feels immediate. Apricot and orange blossom soften the entrance, adding a bright, fruity floral layer that keeps the resin from feeling too severe. Bitter almond sneaks in with a faint, almost marzipan-like sharpness that cuts through the sweetness.
Ylang-ylang carries a creamy, slightly tropical petal quality into the center. Frankincense, labdanum, and myrrh take over quickly, laying down a thick, church-like smoke. The resins here are dense and slightly dusty, creating a warm, meditative atmosphere that leans heavily into ancient ritual rather than modern freshness.
Peru balsam and amber anchor the dry down, reinforcing the sticky, sweet resinousness already present. The oud returns, darker and more fermented, pairing with the balsamic elements to create a heavy, animalic trail. It is a rich, unapologetically heavy scent that wraps around the wearer like a thick cloak.
FLEURS ENCENSÉES is best worn during cool evenings when its density feels appropriate. Those who enjoy straightforward, heavy resin will find a home here. The limitation is the synthetic edge on the orange blossom, which occasionally clashes with the natural-smelling resins and creates a slightly plastic floral flicker.
