Erba Pura
Fragrance notes
Character
Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon open Erba Pura together, bright and juicy without much of the bitterness citrus sometimes carries along with it. A simple note of fruits carries the heart, keeping things sweet and fairly uncomplicated rather than layered or dense, before white musk, Madagascar vanilla and amber settle in for a warm, slightly powdery finish.
That finish feels more like dessert than citrus by the end of the drydown, a full turn from where the fragrance started out. Hard to shift once it settles and quick to announce itself, Erba Pura punches well above what its bright, breezy opening suggests, and one or two sprays go a long way here.
The season spread runs wide, strongest through spring and summer, and it works comfortably in daylight with enough presence to hold its own at dinner too. Anyone who wants an easy, sweet citrus with real staying power will get more than expected from a fragrance this simple in structure. Those who prefer subtlety or a more layered composition may find the simplicity here a little flat.
