The carrot note is an odd choice here. It brings a vegetal, earthy edge that clashes with the bright citrus opening instead of grounding it. That sharp green streak never fully settles, leaving a slightly muddy impression in the early stages.
Sicilian bergamot, orange, and Italian lemon provide a loud, sunny start. The ambrette and iris in the heart soften that brightness into a powdery cloud. Cloves and ylang-ylang add a gentle heat, creating a texture that feels warm against the skin during a bright afternoon walk.
Pear, peach, and vanilla form a fruity, creamy foundation. The musk and Atlas cedar keep this base close, wrapping the wearer in a personal bubble rather than announcing itself across a space. It sits comfortably near the body, requiring a sleeve or a scarf to catch the scent.
The carrot remains the weak link throughout the wear. It distracts from the lovely musky vanilla drydown that eventually appears. If that specific earthy root note were absent, this Reminiscence creation would be a flawless daytime companion.
