Our take

Kahwa opens with a slap of green cardamom and eucalyptus, sharp and camphoraceous, like crushing a bay leaf between your fingers. The ginger and clove add a peppery bite, but the saffron keeps things from turning medicinal. Then the coffee arrives, not syrupy or gourmand but dry and roasted, tangled with jasmine and a rose that smells more dusty than dewy. It is an aromatic green scent that wears its spices like a stiff collar. In the base, Cambodian oud and oakmoss pull it toward the earth, while amber and patchouli soften the edges just enough to keep it from feeling brittle. The overall effect is like stepping into a spice merchant’s back room after rain: the air is cool and sharp, but the sacks are warm, and there is a faint bitterness clinging to everything. Longevity is average, around four to five hours on skin, and sillage is moderate, a polite arm’s length that fades sooner than you might want. It works best in fall and winter, when the camphor and spice can settle without competing with humidity. This is not a casual reach; it is for someone who wants to smell alert and composed, like they just finished a strong coffee and walked out into a damp forest. Skip it if you prefer creamy or sweet scents, because Kahwa lives in the space between bitter and green, and it does not apologize for that.
