Our take

The opening feels crowded. Bergamot, lemon, basil, and lavender all arrive at once, and the citrus fights the herbs for space instead of settling into a clear direction. Green apple and geranium try to smooth the edges, but the cinnamon and cloves push forward too quickly, making the heart feel busy rather than balanced. Patchouli and oakmoss give it a damp, earthy weight, while cedar and labdanum add a resinous warmth that should ground the blend. Vanilla is present, yet it never fully rounds out the sharper spices, so the sweetness stays faint and slightly out of reach.

Outside, the air is cool and the streets are quiet under streetlights. A wool coat holds the scent close as footsteps pass over wet pavement. The herbs and citrus have dulled now, leaving the cloves and cinnamon to lead beside the cedar and moss. It is a fragrance that wants to be bold, but the notes compete instead of supporting one another, and the result is a composition that feels cluttered rather than complex. The same crowding that defined the first breath is still here, unchanged, and it keeps the fragrance from ever feeling entirely at ease.
