Sokolniki (Сокольники)
Fragrance notes
Character
Sokolniki captures the feeling of walking through a crisp park when the air still bites but the sun has begun to warm the path. Rhubarb and bergamot open with a tart, green snap that feels awake and slightly sharp, while cyclamen adds a cool, watery lift. The fruit and flowers arrive quickly. Plum and peach bring a rounded, juicy softness that meets peony and rose, and heliotrope nudges the heart toward a gentle, almond-like creaminess. Geranium keeps the bouquet from becoming too plush, adding a faint leafy edge that stops the sweetness from lying flat.
The base pulls the fragrance into a cozy, vanilla-tinged musk built on tonka bean and cashmeran, with sandalwood and Peru balsam lending a smooth, resinous warmth. White musk and pink pepper keep the finish airy rather than heavy, so the scent stays close and personal instead of expanding outward. It feels polished and pretty, the kind of composition that suits someone who likes a fruity floral but wants it wrapped in a soft, powdery blanket. The one drawback is the rhubarb. On some skin it turns thin and sour within minutes, leaving the pretty base to arrive before the opening has properly settled.
