Our take

Café Bistrô opens with a bright, busy mix of citrus and herbs. Orange, tangerine, lime, Sicilian lemon, yuzu, and bergamot provide a sharp, juicy lift, while mint, sage, tarragon, coriander, and anise add a cool, green edge. Coffee appears immediately, not as a heavy roast but as a crisp, slightly bitter accent that cuts through the fruit. Toscanol rounds out the top with a mild, nutty softness that keeps the opening from feeling sharp or thin.

The heart turns warmer and more textured. Cacao and bourbon vanilla bring a smooth, sweet depth, balanced by the dry heat of saffron, Ceylon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Orange returns here, now heavier and less bright, sitting beside the green floral touch of bourbon geranium and lily-of-the-valley. Coriander bridges the top and middle, carrying its herbal spark into the richer spices so the transition feels steady rather than sudden.

The base settles into coffee, tobacco, and patchouli, supported by cedar, Tahitian vetiver, moss, musk, and cashmeran. The coffee note becomes darker and earthier, blending with tobacco and moss to create a dry, woody foundation. It suits a cool evening walk through a quiet city street, when the air feels crisp and the lights are low. The finish is a steady mix of coffee, woody, and herbal accords.
