The heart of the fragrance takes over, where Damask rose is not a pretty garden flower but a heavy bloom crushed against saffron and oud. The rose carries a metallic edge that clashes beautifully with the resinous wood. As the evening deepens, the base notes anchor the scene. Praline adds a sticky, candy-like weight to the resinous Peru balsam, while the oud grows darker and more aggressive.
