Our take

Libre Intense takes the original Libre's lavender-and-orange-blossom idea and pushes it toward something darker and heavier. Lavender, mandarin orange and bergamot open bright, but a second dose of lavender arrives in the heart alongside Tunisian orange blossom, jasmine sambac and orchid, thickening the floral core considerably. Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean, ambergris and vetiver take the base into genuinely gourmand territory, warm and resinous without leaning overly sweet. The vetiver is doing quiet, important work here, giving the vanilla base a dry, earthy floor beneath all that sweetness. The double dose of lavender is the real signature, one in the top and a heavier, darker version in the heart, so the flower never fully lets go across the whole wear.

This is built for cold, dim evenings, where its lavender-vanilla combination feels rich rather than sharp. The drydown carries a genuine density that holds up long after the top notes fade, and what projects around you forms a gentle cloud that grows a little each time a coat traps it and releases it again.

The heavier vanilla and lavender combination gives Libre Intense a density the original never had, trading some of that brightness for real staying power. It reads as a heavier, far more serious take on the original itself.
