Habanita Exclusive Edition
Fragrance notes
Character
Molinard builds Habanita Exclusive Edition around a resinous mastic opening that feels like walking into a wood-paneled lounge where the air is thick with polished cedar and fresh herbs. Petitgrain and geranium add a green, slightly bitter snap that keeps the entrance from feeling too sweet. Ylang-ylang appears early, but it is restrained here, offering a soft floral breath rather than a tropical overload.
The heart deepens with heliotrope and mimosa, creating a powdery, golden haze that settles close to the skin. May rose and jasmine provide a classic floral backbone, while nutmeg and vetiver introduce a dry, aromatic edge. This stage feels intimate rather than expansive, wrapping the wearer in a warm, balsamic cloud that does not project far beyond a personal space.
Vanilla and amber anchor the base, blending with sandalwood and patchouli to create a rich, earthy finish. Oakmoss adds a traditional chypre shadow that grounds the sweetness. This combination creates a scent that lingers on the fabric and skin for an extended period, making it a reliable choice for an evening out where you want a scent that stays with you rather than announcing your arrival from a distance.
The complexity here demands attention, and the heavy powdery floral mix can feel overwhelming if you prefer clean, minimal compositions. It is a dense, old-school character that simply does not suit a light, modern wardrobe.
