Toffee and patchouli make an odd pair on paper, sugar next to something earthy and a little damp, but that is the base note this fragrance builds toward, and it works because pear and mandarin orange up top never let the sweetness sit alone. Green notes cut through early, giving the fruit an edge instead of letting it go soft. Orchid holds the middle, more textured than floral, a slightly waxy presence that bridges the citrus opening and the caramel-toned base without much fanfare. By the time the toffee and patchouli fully arrive, the fragrance has gone from bright to warm to earthy in a single continuous line, and the earthy accord roughens the caramel, giving it dirt and grain under all that sugar.
It proves long-lasting on skin, and it wraps the wearer in a small halo, easy to miss unless someone stands right beside you. Fall is clearly its strongest season here, with winter close behind, though it wears fine across the rest of the year too. What stays with you is that earthy edge under all the caramel, sweetness with dirt still on it.
