J-Musk V2 Midnight Sultan
Fragrance notes
Character
The terrace sits quiet under a dark sky, and a glass of chilled juice rests on the iron table. J-Musk V2 Midnight Sultan opens with bright pineapple and sharp citruses that catch the cool air, while palisander rosewood adds a dry, polished wood edge to the first impression. The fruit feels fresh rather than sugary, cut by the rosewood so the start never leans into a candy tone.
As the night continues, the heart reveals layers of Bulgarian rose and jasmine sambac that sit beside blue lotus and immortelle. Palo santo brings a resinous smoke through the flowers, with carnation and iris adding a powdery, slightly peppery texture. The floral side stays heavy and warm, pulled toward the smoke and spice rather than floating clean above the other notes.
Thailand oud and natural musk anchor the base, joined by ambergris and castoreum that give a deep animalic weight to the wood. A second oud note thickens the drydown until the scent feels like dark resin and leather pressed into the air. The sweetness from the opening now lives inside a dense, musky amber that keeps growing richer as the rose and smoke curl through it
