JEMS 2 Firewood Trat
Fragrance notes
Character
JEMS 2 Firewood Trat by Jinx Smells is a concentrated study of Thailand oud. The opening presents the wood in its raw state, resinous and distinctly animalic. This is not a polished or softened introduction. The oud dominates immediately, establishing a heavy, aromatic weight that defines the entire experience. It is a bold start that signals the fragrance's unapologetic character.
As the scent develops, the heart reveals a complex blend of warm spices and deep florals. Carnation and tuberose add a creamy, white floral layer that contrasts with the pimento and bay leaf. Leather and tobacco notes weave through the center, adding a dry, rugged texture. The amber provides a golden, resinous sweetness that binds the spices to the oud.
The composition feels dense and textured. The floral elements prevent the oud and leather from becoming too dry, while the spices keep the sweetness of the amber in check. It is a scent that feels substantial and rich, moving between the fresh spice of the bay leaf and the deep, white floral presence of the tuberose without losing its woody core.
The base returns to the Thailand oud, allowing the wood to settle into the skin alongside the remaining traces of amber and tobacco. The animalic accord persists, supported by the lingering warmth of the leather and the subtle freshness of the pimento. It closes on a final impression of oud, amber, and leather.
