Liberty Maze struggles with identity before it ever reaches the skin. The opening pours out neroli and bergamot with the brisk lift of a fresh Earl Grey pour, but the tea note feels thin, more suggestion than steeped leaf. Jasmine and honeysuckle rush in fast, bright and dewy, yet the primrose adds a pale, almost watery green that never quite settles into a clear shape. You sense the garden, then lose it.
The florals sit close, barely leaving a trace once the air moves past. Hawthorn and birch give a clean, dry finish that keeps the scent from feeling heavy, though Dreamwood stays quiet rather than grounding the blend. It suits a walk through a city park when the air feels soft and the light is clear, a moment for something that asks little and offers a gentle floral haze.
The trouble is that the parts never commit to a single direction. One minute it leans citrus, the next it drifts into white petals, then the green birch pulls it somewhere else entirely. That hesitation makes Liberty Maze pleasant to spray, yet hard to remember once the day moves on.
