Rabab
Fragrance notes
Rabab opens with a sharp saffron thread that runs through the entire composition. Bergamot adds a bright citrus lift that keeps the spice from feeling heavy at the start. Cypriol and gurjan balsam give the entrance a resinous, slightly earthy edge that feels dry rather than sweet.
Sandalwood is the core of this fragrance. It appears in both the heart and the base, creating a continuous woody presence that ties the saffron to the deeper materials. Labdanum and cedar add weight and a faintly medicinal resinous quality. Vanilla and amber soften the wood without turning the blend gourmand. Musk sits underneath to round out the drydown.
The overall character is warm, powdery, and firmly woody. It suits someone who enjoys resinous spice and sandalwood without the sugar found in many modern releases. Those who dislike powdery musks or heavy amber should avoid it. It works well in cooler weather and for evening wear. The scent settles into a warm spicy and vanilla accord.
