Delirious Iris
Fragrance notes
Character
Delirious Iris opens with a clear pour of rum and whiskey. The alcohol note is present and unmistakable, giving the first moments a boozy, slightly sharp character that feels immediate and direct.
The heart introduces iris and violet leaf alongside cactus. The iris brings a powdery, floral quality that sits against the green, slightly aqueous touch of the violet leaf. Cactus adds a clean, ozonic edge that keeps the floral elements from feeling too heavy or traditional.
Patchouli, tonka bean, and musk form the base. The patchouli is earthy and prominent, while the tonka bean adds a warm, sweet depth. Musk rounds out the composition with a soft, skin-like finish that supports the woody and powdery accords already established.
The powdery iris and earthy patchouli combination creates a specific texture that some will find too dry or dusty. The whiskey and rum notes remain distinct throughout, which may feel too literal for those who prefer a more abstract interpretation of spirits in a fragrance.
