Vendetta Donna
Fragrance notes
Character
Vendetta Donna opens with a glittery, almost theatrical blast of aldehydes and fruit, a sour-sweet plum and peach syrup cut by green hyacinth and bergamot. It feels like a 1991 power shoulder pad in liquid form, aggressively floral and unapologetically loud. The heart is a traffic jam of white blossoms, honey, and spices, tuberose wrestling with ylang and jasmine while carnation and marigold jostle for attention. This is not a subtle fragrance. It is a vintage femme fatale slumped in a velvet chair, a single wilted gardenia tucked behind her ear, her lipstick smeared. The powder emerges slowly, orris root and heliotrope dusting the chaos, and the drydown settles into a warm, vanillic amber with a woody, musky base that keeps it from being too saccharine. That said, the longevity and sillage are both moderate, around 3.7 and 3.5 out of 5, so it won’t outlast a workday without a touch up. It shines in cooler weather, fall and winter especially, but works as a spring evening scent too. Who should wear it? Anyone who loves a dense, synthetic-rich floral with a fruity wink and doesn’t mind smelling like a powdered sugar cube dropped in a garden center. Skip it if you prefer minimalism, airy aquatics, or anything that whispers. This one shouts.
